In 1998, while a named partner at Fisher, Heck & Imbimbo Inc, architect Michael Imbimbo commenced an award-winning exterior restoration to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, originally constructed in 1931. Notable features include the restoration of cut and carved Indiana limestone masonry, original steel windows and hand-made copper-clad doors, stained-glass windows and copper cornices, and a custom-fabricated Ludowici clay tile roof to match the original roof material. Michael Imbimbo also served as president of Architrave Inc., the design-build construction firm which peformed this restoration.
